The Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas, with profound grief and sadness joins families and friends, at home and abroad, to mourn the passing of two distinguished citizens of Grand Gedeh county, and valued members of Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas.
Hon. Stanley Gaye, 60, a devoted and dedicated member of GGAA North Dakota Chapter, and Madam Dorothy Zeo, 67, of GGAA Iowa Chapter, all of whom answered to the regrettable and untimely call of death on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Fargo, North Dakota, and, Thursday July 17, 2025, in Iowa due to different causes of death.
The Association in a Press Statement issued on Thursday, July 24, 2025, expressed deep sadness and regret over the passing of its two fallen members, recounting on their respective legacies, contributions and services to the Grand Diaspora Community and Grand Gedeh county.
Sadly, Grand Gedeh Association as well as Grand Gedeh County in general, has lost two great personalities whose services and contributions to the community and humanity will be greatly missed, as their unfortunate passing leaves a deep void in our community, county and respective families.
The Association would like to convey sentiments of deepest condolences to their families, friends and the leaders and members of the GGAA North Dakota chapter and Iowa chapter respectively.
We are confident that God will sustain both families during their period of bereavements as our hearts go out to the both bereaved families, and in our thoughts and prayers we keep every family with our support as leaders and community.
In mourning, the association pays special tribute to the memories of the fallen members: Hon. Stanley Gaye, and Madam Dorothy Zeo.
May the Lord Almighty grant and rest their gentle sous and light perpetual shine on them.
