Philadelphia, PA — The Grand Gedeh Association in the Americas (GGAA), under the enduring leadership of National President Madam Edith T. Poah and Vice President Isaac G. Nyenaweh, is pleased to announce that the upcoming 17th Presidential Inauguration Weekend, scheduled for September 12–14, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will also serve as a major fundraising effort in support of the historic Grand Gedeh University College (GGUC) Sports Complex and Multipurpose Events Park.
This announcement follows the administration’s successful official visit to Liberia, where the Poah–Nyenaw eh leadership and other dignitaries participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the GGUC complex — a landmark project situated on five acres of land generously donated by the Grand Gedeh County Community College. The project symbolizes a pivotal step toward empowering youth, nurturing local talent, and providing a center for academic, recreational, and cultural advancement.
“This inauguration weekend is more than ceremonial,” said a spokesperson from the Inaugural Committee. “It is a moment of shared responsibility. The Poah–Nyenaw eh administration is calling on all sons, daughters, friends, and well-wishers of Grand Gedeh to stand united in support of this transformative initiative.”
As the Union celebrates the second term of a leadership team committed to progress, unity, and development, this weekend offers every member — across chapters and generations — a tangible opportunity to be part of legacy-building work.
Inaugural Weekend Highlights:
City: Philadelphia, PA
Dates: September 12–14, 2025
Inaugural Ball: Saturday, September 13
Venue: Eden Gardens Banquet Hall
1444 NJ-73, Pennsauken Township, NJ 08110
In keeping with the theme “One Union, One Grand Gedeh,” the GGAA calls on all members of the Union to secure their packages, engage their chapters, and attend the weekend’s events with full participation and purpose.
“This is a clarion call to all members of our beloved Union. Let us come together in Philadelphia and show the world the strength of a united Grand Gedeh,” said Youth Chairman David Nyanue. “The future of our youth and the pride of our county depends on what we do now.”
The GGUC Sports Complex is just one of several ambitious projects being driven by the current administration. The Poah–Nyenaw eh team has continually emphasized development through collaboration and tangible results — and this inaugural weekend serves as both a celebration and recommitment to that mission.
